Ingredients:

  • whole-grain or whole-wheat bread  1 slice
  • light cream cheese (Neufchatel)  1 Tbsp
  • smoked salmon  1 oz, thinly sliced
  • fresh dill  1 tsp
  • capers  1 tsp, nonpareil (tiny)
  • red onion  1 tsp, finely chopped
  • lemon zest  1 tsp, grated

Instructions:

  1. Lightly toast bread; remove crust.
  2. Spread warm bread with cream cheese and top with salmon; cut into 4 triangles and top with dill, capers, lemon zest and/or onion.
